A page with a purpose
Dots provide alignment points without enclosing every square. Try sketching a box by joining a few points, then leave the rest of the page open for notes. Use the same spacing across several pages for a consistent notebook.
Try this on your next page
For a simple reading log, draw a narrow date column, a wider title column and a small notes area. Count dots before drawing the borders. A five-millimetre grid is compact, while a ten-millimetre grid gives handwriting more room.
Screen previews shrink the sheet to fit your device. Use the selected millimetre value and a test print to judge the physical spacing. Choose the darker Ink colour if subtle dots disappear on your printer.

Can I edit the dots in another application?
Download SVG for a vector file that many design applications can open. Use PDF for straightforward printing. Both versions are generated from the same layout.
Is this template free to use?
Yes. You may use and print the generated sheets for personal study, teaching and classroom distribution. See the usage terms for the limits on resale and redistribution.
Are my settings uploaded?
The customiser creates the sheet in your browser. Your template settings are not sent to a server by the generator. See our privacy notice for information about website hosting.
